Hi, I’m Sandra

This isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of what we believe in.

If you’re struggling with gambling, compulsive behaviors, or the lasting effects of trauma, you’re not alone—and help is available. Healing doesn’t require perfection or having all the answers. It starts with feeling understood and supported.

Support for Gambling Addiction, Behavioral Addictions, and Trauma

I am a nationally board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing psychiatric care for individuals experiencing gambling addiction, behavioral addictions, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions. I hold a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science and am a PhD candidate in Forensic Psychology, specializing in Victimology, which shapes my trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to care.

I bring extensive experience across inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, addiction treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), correctional settings, and community mental health. I have specialized expertise in behavioral and process addictions, including gambling addiction, and integrate psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, and neuropsychotherapy to support long-term recovery.

I am licensed in Washington, Arizona, and New Jersey, and provide care through in-person and telehealth psychiatric services, where permitted. My work is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in a deep understanding of how trauma, neurobiology, and behavior intersect in complex mental health and addiction concerns.

How I Can Help

I work with individuals who are navigating gambling addiction, behavioral addictions, and trauma-related challenges. My experience spans inpatient, outpatient, and community-based treatment settings, including specialized inpatient programs focused on gambling addiction. I’ve worked with people at many different stages of recovery, from crisis and stabilization to long-term healing.

My Approach

A Thoughtful, Brain-Based Approach

My work integrates neuropsychotherapy, an approach that helps make sense of how the brain responds to stress, trauma, and addictive patterns—and how those patterns can change over time. With advanced graduate training in Forensic Psychology and doctoral-level (ABD) work in Victimology, I bring a deep understanding of how life experiences, neurobiology, and behavior are interconnected.

This means our work together isn’t about blame or willpower—it’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and building new, healthier ways forward.

What You Can Expect

Clients often describe me as compassionate, grounded, and easy to talk to. I focus on creating a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
